Breakdancing Workshop with Cristyle from Jabbawockeez
About the course:
Chris "Cristyle" Gatdula, a founding member of the world-renowned Jabbawockeez, is set to conduct an exciting breakdancing workshop designed for dancers of all levels. The workshop will focus on foundational b-boy techniques, including top rock, footwork, freezes, and power moves, while also highlighting the Jabbawockeez’s signature elements of creativity, precision, and storytelling through movement. Participants will have the opportunity to learn dynamic routines inspired by the group’s iconic performances and gain insights into stage presence, teamwork, and the cultural significance of breakdancing. With Cristyle’s guidance, attendees can expect a unique experience blending technical skill-building with personal expression, culminating in an inspirational session aimed at enhancing their craft and confidence in dance.

Cristyle from Jabbawockeez
Chris "Cristyle" Gatdula, born on May 7, 1981, in Cavite, Philippines, is a Filipino-American dancer renowned for his role in the hip-hop dance crew Jabbawockeez. Raised in Las Vegas, Nevada, and San Diego, California, he began his dance career after relocating to Los Angeles. As a member of Jabbawockeez, Gatdula contributed to the group's victory in the inaugural season of "America's Best Dance Crew" in 2008. He also appeared in the 2008 dance film "Step Up 2: The Streets." After departing from Jabbawockeez in 2015 to pursue personal endeavors, Gatdula continued to engage in the dance community through various performances and collaborations
